Everyman Has His Price

Only Robespierre was incorruptible. Plantation owners driven by the desire to maintain their wealth and status found a way to justify the shift from indentured servitude to slavery. Their morality really was for sale.

It's easy to assume that we are better - but if you think about it, it would be easy to do something wrong for the right price (I'm calling you out, Phillip! You'd shoot somebody in the leg for a million dollars?!)

I have a price too - but I'm sure Landon can't afford me.
Have a good weekend and study hard.
