My Kingdom for a Countdown Widget!

As you will surely discover this year, your teacher is a confirmed Luddite.

(AP European Kids know what that means. For the rest of you.)

I'm not as familiar with this new-fangled inter-web stuff, so occasionally I'll bleg.

Blegging is a portmanteau word. It means to beg on a blog. In fact, "blog" itself is a portmanteau word. It combines web and log.

I'd like to have a cool countdown timer on the upper right hand corner of the blog titled "Days until the AP US Exam." The lame timer on the sidebar is the only one I was able to come up with. If any of you are tech savvy, I'd love it if you could find/build me a widget, perhaps with the image below as the background.

Thanks.

  2. Here is a countdown. It took a while to make because I had to find the actual source of the picture because the website doesn't accept blog pictures. And I will not bleg for an AP point like pumpkin head. Just paste the code into a gadget for the sidebar.

All right, the blog won't let me put HTML code in a comment, so I had to get tricky. To get the code right again, open word(or any other word processor) and use the find and replace function to replace the ~'s with <'s. Hope it works.

  3. It didn't seem to work - I have a blank spot at the top of the page.

The widget didn't have to have the Luddite picture - any American history-lookin' thing would have been fine.

Thanks for the time you took, Marcus.
